4. Overall Decline in Tech Job Postings. There was a decrease in tech job postings across all major U.S. markets. This broad decline suggests a slowdown in hiring activity and may reflect a more cautious approach to workforce expansion by companies.
The Good
5. Decrease in the Tech Unemployment Rate. Despite an increase in US unemployment rate, the tech-specific unemployment rate dropped from 3.7% to 3.2%. This decrease signals that demand for tech talent remains strong, even in a challenging market.
6. Ongoing Tech Hiring Activity. Even though July is a slower month for tech hiring, there were over 176,000 new tech job postings recorded.
